Activities C1.1, 4.1, and 4.4

This week, ASMO Inc. focused on completing three separate activities. Activity C1.1, titled “Design Specifications,” was about the various specifications ASMO Inc. will impose on the product. To complete this activity, each group member voted on their top criteria and ranked them from most to least important. Activity 4.1 was titled “Knowledge of the Marketplace.” In this activity, the team had to evaluate existing products as well as research potential competitors. In addition, ASMO Inc. had to identify its users and buyers. Having a thorough understanding of the marketplace is important to any design team. Finally, Activity 4.4 had the team create a plan for direct market research. In addition, ASMO Inc. tested a normal manual wheelchair to see how a person's hands interacted with the wheel.
