Choosing a Topic Activity

This past week ASMO Inc. worked individually on Activity A1.1 Choosing a Topic. The activity helped us think outside the box to figure out possible problems for us to fix. At first the large topics were easier to come up with, like volleyball knee pads, portable toilets, health and safety, and physical challenges. Narrowing down the topics to create smaller, manageable problems for our team to solve was a difficult process. We quickly found that coming up with new ideas that had never been done was hard. Once we realized we could improve on already existing solutions, the activity was easier to move forward with. Some other possible topics we came up with were making it easier and more practical to sleep in one’s car, improving the stress backpacks put on shoulders, and fixing inefficient organizing. Overall, the team is very excited to select a problem and pursue a solution.
