To successfully create a solution to a problem, every team must utilize the design process, an iterative sequence that outlines the steps necessary to come to a solution. Since the beginning of the school year, ASMO Inc. has been exploring each of the stages in the design process. Near the start of the design process, the team formed a problem statement regarding the issue of dirty wheelchair wheels. This problem statement has focused other aspects of the design process, especially research. The remainder of the design process will be guided not only by the problem statement, but also the set constraints and criteria. These include, but are not limited to, durability and maintenance, performance, cost, and ergonomics. This project proposal outlines both what ASMO Inc. has completed so far and how the team plans to accomplish its future steps.
